Thorneybank Farm Shop has been providing fresh, homegrown and local produce since the 1970’s. From field to fork our veg is picked daily by Stephen hands bringing our customers the finest, freshest produce. Our home bakes are made in house by Catherine Stephen. Her Shortbread in particular is a favourite with people worldwide, it simply melts in the mouth. It really is a family affair with all 3 Stephen generations very much involved with the day to day running of the farm shop

The Farm Shop @ Barra Castle is open year round, from 08:30-17:00 Monday – Saturday and 09:30-17:00 on Sundays. In the early days, we only sold our strawberries, raspberries and blackberries which are grown just yards from Barra Farm Shop, but now we stock a range of high quality Scottish produce and our delicious fruit ice-cream. In 2019 we also added our brand new Barra Kitchen, serving a delicious and creative lunch menu.
